About International Clinical Laboratories (ICL)
International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest independent clinical diagnostic centers in Africa, serving Ethiopia since 2004. ICL is the only lab in the country to be accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) five times in a row. In partnership with top referral labs, ICL provides over 3000 clinical tests, supporting quality healthcare services across Ethiopia.
ICL is currently hiring qualified professionals for the following positions under the Compliance & Quality Assurance (CQA) Department at its Head Office in Addis Ababa (AA1).
1. Quality Assurance Data Analyst
Position Type: Permanent
Location: Head Office (AA1), Addis Ababa
Department: Compliance & Quality Assurance
Reports to: QA Lead
Required Number: 1 (One)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop real-time Power BI/Excel dashboards for monitoring QMS performance.
- Analyze audit results, non-conformances, and support ISO 15189 & JCI data validation.
- Generate management review reports and assist in root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with IT to integrate data with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Biostatistics, Medical Laboratory Science, or related.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis (preferably in healthcare/laboratory quality).
- Familiarity with ISO 15189, CAP, or JCI standards is an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP), and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of SPSS, R, or Python is a plus.
- Experience with LIS/HIS systems and documentation software.
2. Document Control & Records Management Officer
Position Type: Permanent
Location: Head Office (AA1), Addis Ababa
Department: Compliance & Quality Assurance
Reports to: CQA Director
Required Number: 1 (One)
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive document control procedure for QMS documents.
- Manage version control, archiving, document naming, and numbering.
- Maintain electronic and physical records and ensure audit readiness.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Health Information, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in document control in healthcare or laboratory settings.
- Experience with ISO 15189, ISO 9001, or similar QMS systems.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SharePoint, Q-Pulse, or document control platforms.
- Strong organizational and regulatory compliance knowledge.
3. Compliance Officer – Customer Experience
Position Type: Permanent
Location: Head Office (AA1), Addis Ababa
Department: Compliance & Quality Assurance
Reports to: CQA Director
Required Number: 1 (One)
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance customer service systems in line with QMS.
- Handle complaints, implement corrective actions, and prepare compliance reports.
- Act as liaison between CQA and customer service departments.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, or similar fields.
- Minimum 3 years in a compliance or customer service role in healthcare.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 15189, JCI, and customer service systems.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with CRM tools and customer service training.
- Data analysis and strong communication skills.
