About Ethiopian Customs Commission:

Established under Proclamation No. 1097/2018, the Ethiopian Customs Commission emerged from the previous Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority. The Commission operates independently, under the Ministry of Revenues, and is committed to providing efficient, equitable, and high-quality customs services.

Objectives of the Commission:

• Deliver modern, fast, and equitable customs services.

• Ensure timely and efficient collection of customs duties and taxes.

• Implement national customs laws and international agreements ratified by Ethiopia.

• Control the import and export of prohibited or restricted goods.

• Prevent and manage customs offenses effectively.
