About the Project – WORK2gether
WORK2gether: Working Together for Sustainable Employment and Agricultural Development in Ethiopia is a project aiming to improve access to education, employment, food security, and climate-smart agriculture for women, youth, and smallholder farmers. It also seeks to address the root causes of irregular migration in alignment with SDGs 2, 4, 8, and 10.
The project will be executed in collaboration with local and international partners.
Position: Project Manager
Location: Asella – Arsi Zone, Oromia

Employment Type: Full-time (1-year contract, renewable)
Salary: Based on experience and CEFA salary scale

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Lead the implementation of project activities based on the work plan and logframe
- Supervise and guide the project team and technical sectors
- Collaborate with government offices, partners, and community stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with national policies and strategies
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical support on agriculture and food security interventions
- Promote gender inclusion and youth engagement
- Identify and support income-generating opportunities for beneficiaries
Monitoring, Reporting & Administration
- Assist MEAL team in developing monitoring tools and tracking indicators
- Prepare narrative and financial reports per donor and CEFA standards
- Monitor budget expenditures with the project accountant
- Support procurement and compliance with donor regulations
Representation & Communication
- Represent CEFA in stakeholder meetings
- Promote project visibility through media and field visits
- Document lessons learned and success stories
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Food Security, Rural Development, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, including 2 years in international NGOs
- Experience working on donor-funded agricultural or livelihoods projects
- Fluent in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo
- Strong skills in team leadership, negotiation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of AICS regulations is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
