Position Title: Field Officer – Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE)
Duty Station: Afar, Berhale
Number of Positions: One (1)
Employment Type: Fixed-Term (Until December 31, 2025)
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: As per DCA salary scale

Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Teaching, or other related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Expertise:
- Proven experience in designing and delivering EORE programs.
- Knowledge of Victim Assistance and Protection pathways/mechanisms.
- Language: Fluency in English and the local language is required.
- Other:
- Previous NGO experience is an asset.
- Strong decision-making, adaptability, and communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement EORE activities in line with DCA SOPs and national guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to UNMAS, EMAO, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with community leaders, local authorities, and partner organizations.
- Supervise and manage EORE facilitators and ensure high-quality training and implementation.
- Conduct training and refresher sessions for facilitators and community representatives.
- Maintain quality assurance, logistical readiness, and budgetary oversight.
- Support integration of EORE activities into broader Mine Action strategies.
- Participate in DCA-organized trainings relevant to EORE.
