About KOICA

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a governmental organization dedicated to implementing Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs worldwide. In Ethiopia, KOICA collaborates with the government, NGOs, and international partners to deliver capacity-building programs, technical assistance, and volunteer initiatives aimed at sustainable development.

Mission: Enhance the effectiveness of grant aid and technical cooperation.
🌍 Focus Areas: Project implementation, training, and advisory services.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management (70%)

  • Assist the Financial Manager in budgeting, reporting, and bank transactions.
  • Process VAT refunds, liaise with tax authorities, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage USD/ETB accounts, ensuring accurate tracking and reconciliation.
  • Oversee monthly financial settlements and audit compliance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for banking procedures and benefits optimization.

Administrative Duties (30%)

  • Procure office supplies and maintain vendor documentation.
  • Support HR operations (records, policies, onboarding).
  • Manage office vehicles (logbooks, fuel cards, maintenance).
  • Administer staff telecom services (payments, Ethio Telecom liaison).

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in finance/administration, preferably in an international organization.
  • Language: Fluent English (written/spoken); Korean is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial software, and Ethiopian tax/VAT laws.

Preferred:

  • Certification (e.g., CPA) or experience with donor-funded projects.
  • Knowledge of AI tools for financial analysis.
  • Experience with government/regulatory partners.
