Job Title: Junior Application Developer
Qualifications & Experience
• Education: BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Experience: Not required (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Location: Addis Ababa (Head Office).
• Availability: As soon as possible.
• Application Deadline: April 9, 2025.
Job Purpose
The Junior Application Developer will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of both business and corporate applications. The role also includes supporting data warehouse activities and providing technical support for application software across ECX’s headquarters and regional trading centers.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather and refine user requirements, assist in the design of business applications, and create technical documentation.
• Develop and test application logic, ensuring adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards.
• Debug and maintain existing applications while providing support as directed by the division manager.
• Participate in software design sessions and contribute to minor code development.
• Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring smooth operation of the data warehouse system.
• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data dissemination software.
• Generate reports as required and document key software components.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
